We acquire battery hens from local egg farms at the end of their egg laying life to save them from slaughter.
When the chickens come to our farm we give them poultry vitamins and quality feed and a safe free range environment letting them grow new feathers and then being let out on our pastures during the day.
Within week’s new feathers are quickly growing back and the overall condition improves also these hens lay eggs from day one the same eggs people buy in supermarkets.
This is the ethical choice for anyone wanting to keep chickens and at the same time giving a bird a loving forever home.
The birds are very friendly and love attention from people and children and after a short time will become very tame
with love from there new keeper.
Our birds after rehabilitation are £10 all proceeds from the sale go to looking after the next batch of chickens.
